Science Safari-Family Program
Thursday, April 12 at 10:30 am at Hadley School
Michael Offutt presents an entertaining look at some laws of science. Mike will demonstrate oddities and seemingly magical "tricks," with explanations of the scientific principles which make these remarkable feats possible. This exciting program is suitable for all ages.
Reading with Rex
Rex and his pals will be at the library on Sunday, April 15 from 4:30 to 6:30. Children are invited to join us in the library and read to a beautiful Therapy Dog. Reading to therapy dogs can provide a safe place for children to relax, forget about feeling self-conscious or nervous, forget about making mistakes or looking uncool and encourage some joy and pleasure in the moment of the experience, so they begin to look forward to reading. Sessions last typically 15-20 minutes. Books will be provided by the library or children may bring a favorite book from home that they think the dogs might enjoy.
