ADULTS & SENIORS:

Chick Lit Book Discussion -- Wednesday, April 23rd at 7 pm
Join us to discuss Emily Giffin's "Something Blue." The Chick Lit Book Discussion Group is fairly new and looking to expand -- new members are encouraged to join!

**Getting Your Child Ready for School and Life: 1-2 Years Old -- Thursday, April 24th at 7 pm
Learn practical activities that parents can complete with their 1-2 year old children. The main component will be a focus on language and literacy within the home. Each activity will be demonstrated and the educational benefits will be explained. A take-home packet will also be provided!

TEENS:

**Dear Lisa -- Monday, April 21st at 7 pm
Tom Santoro's daughter was murdered by an ex-boyfriend. He'll speak about his experience, signs to look for, and how to help someone in a violent dating relationship. Teens participating in ENERGY will receive credit for attending.

**Money, Banking, and Credit -- Tuesday, April 22nd at 7 pm
Learn how to build a solid financial base! This session will cover basic savings tools, developing a budget, credit management, and goal setting. Teens participating in ENERGY will receive credit for attending. Pizza will be served (thanks to Enzo's Pizzeria in Homer Glen!) before the program begins.

**Dinner Table Etiquette -- Saturday, April 26th at 11 am
Learn proper etiquette rules that will impress everyone at the table. Free pizza and refreshments will be served. Teens participating in ENERGY will receive credit for attending. Teen Techies -- Tuesday, April 29th at 7 pm
Learn about screencasting and Google tools! For teens in 6th grade and up. New members are welcome!

YAC meeting -- Wednesday, April 30th at 4:30 pm
Attend the monthly meeting of the library's Youth Activity Committee! For teens in 6th grade and up. New members are welcome!

**Entrepreneurial Mentorship -- Wednesday, April 30th at 7 pm
Learn the basics of a cottage industry, which is an industry where the products or services are created at home instead of a factory. Teens participating in ENERGY will receive credit for attending. KIDS:

**Car Seat Safety Check -- Saturday, May 1st at 11 am
Not sure if your child's car seat is properly installed in your vehicle? The Homer Township Fire Department will be on site to check the seat and make any necessary changes.

The Homer Township Public Library was awarded a "We the People" Bookshelf Grant! This grant was made possible by the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities. This year's Bookshelf theme, "Created Equal," contains material perfect for the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial. The booklist can be found at www.wethepeople.gov/bookshelf/createdEqual.html.
