ADULTS & SENIORS

Adult Movie -- Tuesday, July 8th at 7pm

Join us for popcorn and a movie! All adults are welcome. Call (708) 301-7908 for movie title and more information.

Prairiesmoke Writers Group -- Wednesday, July 9th at 7pm

Stop by the monthly meeting of the library's writers group to discuss your work with other writers. New members are welcome!

Safety Essentials for New Parents -- Thursday, July 10th at 7pm

Parents will learn basic first aid, choking techniques, basic CPR, poison control, babysitting safety, and other accident prevention techniques. This event is free, but registration is required. To register, visit the circulation desk or call (708) 301-7908.

Arm Chair Travelers -- Friday, July 11th from 1:30-3pm

Take a tour of Holland! Experience genuine Dutch culture, study the unique architecture of Amsterdam, and explore the tulip and bulb gardens of Holland.

TEENS

Open Gaming -- Wednesday, July 2nd from 6:30-8pm & Wednesday, July 9th from 6:30-8pm

Hang out and play Rock Band at the library! Open to teens in 6th grade and up. Bring your friends and be prepared to rock out!

KIDS

Open Gaming for Kids -- Tuesday, July 1st from 10-12pm, Thursday July 3rd from 3-5pm, Tuesday July 8th from 10-12pm, & Thursday, July 10th from 3-5pm

Stop by the library and pick from a variety of board games to play, or choose to show off your moves at Dance Dance Revolution! Play with your own group or with the library's teen volunteers. This is a drop-in session, so stop by at any time!

Kids Craft -- Monday, July 10th at 10am

Make a sports picture holder to take home! There is a $3 fee per child, and children under 6 require adult help.

GrandPal & Knit -- Friday, July 11th at 10am

Kids ages 8-12 will learn to cast on, knit, purl, and decrease steps while they knit a simple project with Victorian Village residents. One skein of sport weight 4-ply yarn is needed for the first class. Classes meet on Fridays from 10-11:30am on July 11th, July 18th, July 25th, and August 1st. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, visit the circulation desk or call (708) 301-7908.

The Friends of the Homer Township Public Library

The Friends of the Homer Library are Homer residents dedicated to supporting the library, providing volunteer services to the library, and developing supplemental funding for special programs, services, and collections at the library. The Friends Group is newly formed, and new members are encouraged to join! Membership is $5 for an individual or $7 for a family.
