Adult Book Discussion -- Wednesday, June 18th at 7:30pm
Join us as we discuss Elizabeth McCraken's "The Giant's House." This is our last adult book club meeting of the summer -- please join us again in September!

Social Security Planning for Your Retirement -- Tuesday, June 24th at 7pm
This one hour seminar covers how the Social Security retirement program works, how to apply, and what you need to know after your benefits begin.

Chick Lit Book Discussion -- Wednesday, June 25th at 7pm
Join us as we discuss Elizabeth Buchan's "Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman." New members are welcome!

TEENS

Open Gaming: Rock Band and Wii Sports -- Wednesday, June 18th from 6:30 - 8pm, Wednesday June 25th from 6:30 - 8pm
Hang out and play Rock Band and Wii Sports at the library! These are our first summer sessions of open gaming for teens. Open to teens in 6th grade and up. Bring your friends!

Teen Techies -- Tuesday, June 24th from 4-5pm
Discuss the latest trends in technology. Open to teens in 6th grade and up. New members are welcome!

YAC Meeting -- Wednesday, June 25th at 4:30pm
Teens in 6th grade and up are welcome to join the library's Youth Activity Committee! We'll be planning future teen programming and YAC activities. New members are welcome!

Teen Movie -- Friday, June 27th at 1 pm
Join is for popcorn and a movie! All teens are welcome. Call (708) 301-7908 for movie title and more information.

KIDS

Opening Gaming for Kids-- Thursday, June 19th from 3-5pm, Tuesday, June 24th from 10-12pm, and Thursday, June 26th from 3-5pm
Stop by the library and pick from a variety of board games to play, or choose to show off your moves at Dance Dance Revolution! Play with your own group or with the library's teen volunteers. This is a drop-in session, so stop by at any time!

Ferret Program -- Friday, June 20th at 10am
Think you would like a ferret for a pet? Ethel Rodriguez talks about the pros and cons of owning one of these delightful animals. Live animals will be here for you to pet!

Kids Craft -- Monday, June 23rd at 10am
Celebrate summer by making a 4th of July Banner! There is a $3 fee per child, and children under 6 require adult help.

Spanish Connection -- Wednesday, June 25th from 10:30 - 11:30am
Learn vocabulary, popular phrases, and culture as we explore the Spanish language! This is the first of five weekly meetings. Children entering 4th-6th grade are invited to attend. Class size is limited and registration is required. To register, visit the circulation desk or call (708) 301-7908.

July 4th Parade -- Saturday, June 28th at 11am at Culver Park
Visit the Bookmobile after the parade to see "Doc" Morrissey entertain kids of all ages with feats of magic, balloon animals, and the world's only known psychic bunny!
