Abraham Lincoln in Song -- Tuesday, July 29th at 7pm
Award-winning folksinger Chris Vallillo uses historic narratives, contemporary folk music, and period folk songs to showcase Abraham Lincoln's life spanning the period of great change and growth in Illinois. This program is made possible in part by an award from the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Illinois General Assembly.
TEENSOpen Gaming -- Wednesday, July 23rd from 6:30-8pm
Hang out and play Rock Band at the library! Open to teens in 6th grade and up. It's our last teen gaming session of the summer, so bring your friends and be prepared to rock out!
Teen Techies -- Tuesday, July 22nd at 4pm
We'll be screencasting! Open to teens in 6th grade and up. New members are welcome!
Teen Manga Group -- Thursday, July 24th at 7pmIt's the Teen Manga Group's summer cosplay party! Come dressed in your finest cosplay costume or manga-inspired outfit! There'll be anime jeopardy, pizza, and more! The cosplay party will last longer than our regular manga meetings and will end at 8:45 pm. Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

KIDSGrandPal & Knit -- Friday, July 25th at 10am & Friday, August 1st at 10amKids ages 8-12 will learn to cast on, knit, purl, and decrease steps while they knit a simple project with Victorian Village residents. One skein of sport weight 4-ply yarn is needed for the first class. Classes meet on Fridays from 10-11:30am on July 11th, July 18th, July 25th, and August 1st. You can register at the library, but please call ahead (708-301-7908) to make sure a registrar is in the building. You'll need to bring two forms of ID: one with your name and current address, the second with your name. You can also register by filling out a mail-in application found
here. But remember, the last day to register to vote in the November election is October 7, so don't wait! Voters who are registered in Will County but need an absentee ballot can obtain one by filling out
