ADULTS & SENIORS

Get Credit for Life: Part 1 -- Tuesday, September 23rd at 7pm
This two part workshop will offer information on how to establish, maintain, and improve your credit. Learn the biggest financial mistakes people make and how to overcome them. Part two of the workshop is on Tuesday, September 30th. Patrons are encouraged to attend both sessions, but it is not required. Presented by Joe Stanfa of Blue Sky Lending Corporation.

Chick Lit Book Discussion -- Wednesday, October 1st at 7pm
Join us as we discuss "Suburbanistas" by Pamela Redmond Satran. New members are welcome!

College Planning Workshop -- Thursday, October 2nd at 7pm
College Funding Strategies will host a free college planning workshop for parents of high school students who are concerned about paying for college. This session concentrates on helping high school students pick the right college while causing the least impact on your family's finances.

TEENS

YAC Meeting -- Wednesday, September 24th at 4:30pm
Help us plan and promote upcoming events, such as the Halloween party and the mitten drive! Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

KIDS

Culture Club: France -- Saturday, September 27th from 10 - 11:30am
Calling all kids in grades 2-5! Travel to faraway lands and explore foods and customs from other countries around the world. First stop: France! The Culture Club will also meet on October 25 (Italy) and November 22 (Turkey). Space is limited and registration is required.

No Boys Allowed -- Friday, October 3rd from 6-8pm
Girls will enjoy a story, craft, and papmering at this girls-only party! Wear your favorite "comfys" and be ready to relax and have fun! For girls ages 5-10. Space is limited and registration is required.

2008 Author Fair
The third annual Author Fair is almost here! This event, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be held on Monday, October 20th from 6:30 – 8:45pm. The authors to be showcased at the 2008 Author Fair include L. Sue Dirkin, George N. Kulles, Helen Macie Osterman, Sherry Scarpaci, Daniel P. Smith, Travis Thrasher, and Rita Woods. Authors of childrens’ books will also be in attendance, including Kevin Franz, Kevin Luthardt, and Janet Riehecky. Visit the library to check out the authors’ books before the event!
