ADULTS & SENIORS

Adult Book Discussion -- Wednesday, October 15th at 7:30pm

Join us as we discuss "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger. New members are welcome!

Author Fair -- Monday, October 20th at 6:30pm

We invite you to meet published authors and listen as they present on their experiences, writings, and more! Authors to be showcased at the 2008 Author Fair include L. Sue Dirkin, George N. Kulles, Helen Macie Osterman, Sherry Scarpaci, Daniel P. Smith, Travis Thrasher, and Rita Woods. Authors of childrens' books will also be in attendance, including Kevin Franz, Kevin Luthardt, and Janet Riehecky. Light refreshments will be served!

Knitting Club -- Tuesday, October 21st at 7pm

Bring your yarns and needles and join the library's monthly knitting club! Meet other knitters and view each other's projects. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month.

Chick Lit Book Discussion -- Wednesday, October 22nd at 7pm

Join us as we discuss "Remember Me" by Sophie Kinsella. New members are welcome!

TEENS

Teen Movie Night -- Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30pm

Grab your friends and head to the library's Teen Movie Night! We'll provide the popcorn and drinks. Call the library at (708) 301-7908 for movie title and length. Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

Teen Techies -- Wednesday, October 15th at 4:30pm

We'll be discussing the latest trends in technology and planning ideas for future meetings. Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

Teen Manga Group -- Thursday, October 16th at 7pm

We'll be attempting anime karaoke (no, we won't force you to sing if you don't want to!) and discussing any manga we've read! Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

KIDS

Halloween Kids Craft -- Tuesday, October 14th at 4:30pm

Celebrate Halloween with a spooky kids craft! Children ages 6 and under require adult help. There is a $3 fee per child.

Culture Club: Italy -- Saturday, October 25th at 10am

Calling all kids in grades 2-5! Travel to faraway lands and explore foods and customs from other countries around the world. Next stop: Italy! The Culture Club will also meet on November 22 (Turkey). Space is limited and registration is required.

Boo!mobile Costume Contest

The 2nd annual Boo!mobile Halloween Costume contest will run from October 20th through November 1st! Prizes will be awarded for best, funniest, most original, and scariest costumes. Photos of all contestants will be posted at www.flickr.com/photos/homerlibrary.

Halloween Party at Schilling School

Visit the Boo!mobile at the Homer Township Halloween Party at Schilling School on October 25th from 11-2pm. Have your picture taken with Mr. Bones and pick up a sweet treat!
