ADULTS & SENIORS

Stuck in the 60's for Life -- Monday, October 6th at 7pm
Enjoy a flashback to the 1960's! Listen as Tom Malouf fills the library with songs from these happy days. This is a program the whole family will love!

Mystery Book Club -- Monday, October 6th at 7pm
Join us as we discuss The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny and eat delicious snacks! Books are available at the library for check out, and new members are always welcome.

Prairiesmoke Writers Group -- Wednesday, October 8th at 7pm
Stop by the monthly meeting of the library's writers group to discuss your work with other writers. New members are welcome!

Friends of the Library Meeting -- Thursday, October 9th at 7pm
All Friends of the Library (or those interested in becoming a Friend!) are invited to the monthly Friends meeting at the library. We'll be discussing future projects and fundraising ideas, and we'd love to hear your input!

Arm Chair Travelers -- Friday, October 10th from 1:30 to 3pm
Carl DiNello will take you on a tour of Greece! This journey includes modern day Greece with a sprinking of Greek mythology. Light refreshments are provided.

Adult Book Discussion -- Wednesday, October 15th at 7:30pm
Join us as we discuss "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger. New members are welcome!

TEENS

Teen Book Club -- Tuesday, October 7th at 7pm
We'll be discussing Generation Dead by Daniel Waters and talking about any other books that we've been reading! Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

Teen Movie Night -- Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30pm
Grab your friends and head to the library's Teen Movie Night! We'll provide the popcorn and drinks. Call the library at (708) 301-7908 for movie title and length. Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

Teen Techies -- Wednesday, October 15th at 4:30pm
We'll be discussing the latest trends in technology and planning ideas for future meetings. Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

Teen Manga Group -- Thursday, October 16th at 7pm
We'll be attempting anime karaoke (no, we won't force you to sing if you don't want to!) and discussing any manga we've read!Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

KIDS

Halloween Kids Craft -- Tuesday, October 14th at 4:30pm
Celebrate Halloween with a spooky kids craft! Children ages 6 and under require adult help. There is a $3 fee per child.

Polish Story Time -- Thursdays from 1:15 to 2:30pm
For children ages 3-6, these story time sessions use both Polish and English books to help children become accustomed to the English language. Space is limited, and registration is required.

LSTA Grant Awarded to the Homer Library
The Homer Library was recently awarded a LSTA grant award entitled "Destination Station: A Learning R/evoluntion @ Homer Library." This grant will fund new computers, software, and training, which we are excited to be offering the community within the upcoming months!
