All Friends of the Library (or those interested in becoming a Friend!) are invited to the monthly Friends meeting at the library. We'll be discussing future projects and fundraising ideas, and we'd love to hear your input!
Armchair Travelers: Brazil -- Friday, December 12th from 1:30 to 3pm
Join Sara Drower as she explores Brazil by leading us through the little visited Pantanal region, a visit to Sao Paulo, and a festival in the colonial city of Salvador. Light refreshments will be served.
YAC Meeting -- Wednesday, December 17th at 4:30pm
We'll be celebrating the holidays by making gingerbread houses! Open to teens in 6th grade and up.
Teen Manga Group -- Thursday, December 18th at 7pm
It's the Teen Manga Group's Holiday Cosplay Party! Come dressed in your finest cosplay costume or manga-inspired outfit! Open to teens in 6th grade and up.
Family Movie Night -- Sunday, December 14th at 4:30pm
Gather the family and head to the library for our Family Movie Night! Popcorn and beverages will be provided. Call the library at (708) 301-7908 for movie title and rating.
Story Time and Wiggles & Giggles
As a reminder to parents, this is the final week of Story Time and Wiggles & Giggles! Both programs end for the year as of December 11th. We look forward to seeing you again at the January sign-up for 2009 programs!
Mitten Drive
The Youth Advisory Committee is sponsoring a Mitten Drive at the library! We are accepting new gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves (and gently used winter coats) for men, women, teens, and children. Items can be dropped off at the library during the entire month of December. All items will be donated to a local shelter. Thank you for your support!
