Mystery Book Club -- Monday, May 11th at 7pm
Join us as we read A Carrion Death by Michael Stanley. Books are available at the library for check-out. New members are welcome!

The monthly meeting of the library's writers group is still going strong! Stop by to discuss your work with other writers and have fun with some group writing assignments. New members are welcome! Writers of all levels are encouraged to attend. Registration is not required.

Basics of Microsoft Excel 2007
Basics of Microsoft Office Excel 2007 classes will be held on May 12th at 6:30pm and May 16th at 9am. Classes will be held on laptops (provided by the library) in the library's meeting room. Drinks and food are not allowed. Class size is limited to 5 participants. Classes are free, but space is limited and registration is required. Funding for this program is brought to you as part of a grant that was awarded to the Homer Township Public Library by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).

Bring your yarns and needles and join the library's monthly knitting club! Meet other knitters and view each other's projects. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month.

Join us as we discuss Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson. Books are available at the library for check-out. New members are welcome!

We'll be talking about manga books, so bring your favorite series (or two, or three!) to booktalk to the group! Open to teens in 6th grade and up.

Family Movie Night -- Sunday, May 17th at 4:30pm

Gather the family and head to the library for our Family Movie Night! Popcorn and beverages will be provided. Call the library at (708) 301-7908 for movie title and rating.

Visit the Bookmobile any time between May 11th and June 3rd to enter the bookmark contest! The contest is being held in celebration of National Children's Book Week. We hope to see you soon!

May 17th is the last Sunday that the library will be open until September! From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the library is closed on Sundays. But we will be open regular hours Monday through Saturday, except for holiday closures. Have a great summer!
