Childrens Play Literacy Areas
If you've been in the childrens room lately, you've probably noticed the exciting new additions! The library has added various Early Literacy Play areas that will serve to stimulate a child's intellectual and social development. These areas prepare children for structures formal learning and school activities. The play areas include a cabin play house, a community train table, a doll house, a Lego creation table, new puzzles, and more! The Early Literacy Play items were provided through a generous private donation. We hope you'll stop by the library to explore these areas with your children!

Energy 2010: A Teen Leadership Academy
Applications will be available by the end of the week for next year's session of Energy: A Teen Leadership Academy! Energy, which is an award winning library program, aims to create youth leaders who will assume leadership roles throughout the community. Participants attend library programs on teen-centered issues and also take part in a volunteer opportunity through the library. Energy is open to teens in grades 9-12. It's a great addition to any resume or college application! More information will be available in the coming weeks.
