Balance and Falls: Risk Identification and Prevention, Part 2: Friday, April 30th at 2pm Have you noticed a change in your balance abilities or have you or someone you know fallen lately? Licensed physical therapists from Functional Therapy & Rehabilitation will conduct an informative and interactive class covering balance and fall assessment. This session will include an individualized balance assessment.
TEENSCollege Preparation Workshop -- Thursday, April 22nd at 7pmWhat do colleges look for in a successful candidate? Are private colleges & universities affordable? To save money, can I transfer after attending a community college? Which colleges or universities offer my major? These and other topics will be discussed by a local admissions dean. Bring your questions about college and learn about what you should be doing to prepare for college and making it affordable. Presented by Andrew B. Sison, Dean of Undergraduate Admission at Lewis University in Romeoville.
Youth Activity Committee Meeting -- Wednesday, April 28th at 4:30pm
Teens in grades 5-8 are invited to stop by the monthly meeting of the Youth Activity Committee! New members are welcome!
Public Speaking & Communication Skills -- Wednesday, April 28th at 7pm
Learn how to sharpen your public speaking and communication skills in this one hour program. You'll be shown tips and techniques to become more comfortable with speaking in front of a crowd and also how to communicate effectively with others in smaller settings. Presented by Lisa O'Toole, Assistant Professor of Communications at Lewis University in Romeoville.
KIDSSpring Kids Craft -- Tuesday, April 20th at 4:30pmKids are invited to stop by the library to make a flower and butterfly wreath! There is a $3 fee per child, and children ages 6 and under require adult assistance. Please register at the circulation desk.
Lego Time -- Tuesday, April 27th at 4:30pm
Build your own Lego design to display in the library! All ages are welcome to participate. Legos will be provided.

The Chicks Are Coming: Tuesday, April 20th
Chick it out! Don't miss the special delivery of the eggs at the library on April 20th! You can view the eggs in the incubator or view our 24 hour live webcam from our webpage. The Homer Library would like to thank the University of Illinois Extension Will County Unit for providing the eggs and special delivery, the will County Farm Bureau for providing the incubator, and Learning Express (Homer Glen) for contest prizes.
