ADULTS & SENIORS

Chick Lit Book Discussion -- Tuesday, April 27th at 7pm
Join us for a lively discussion of Hope in a Jar by Beth Harbison. New members are welcome! There will be snacks and fun!

Balance and Falls: Risk Identification and Prevention, Part 2: Friday, April 30th at 2pm
Have you noticed a change in your balance abilities or have you or someone you know fallen lately? Licensed physical therapists from Functional Therapy & Rehabilitation will conduct an informative and interactive class covering balance and fall assessment. This session will include an individualized balance assessment.

Creating a Facebook Account -- Monday, May 3rd at 3pm
Learn how to create an account on Facebook and also how to navigate your way around this popular social networking site. Space is limited, so registration is required. To register, call (708) 301-7908.

TEENS

Youth Activity Committee Meeting -- Wednesday, April 28th at 4:30pm
Teens in grades 5-8 are invited to stop by the monthly meeting of the Youth Activity Committee! New members are welcome!

Public Speaking & Communication Skills -- Wednesday, April 28th at 7pm
Learn how to sharpen your public speaking and communication skills in this one hour program. You'll be shown tips and techniques to become more comfortable with speaking in front of a crowd and also how to communicate effectively with others in smaller settings. Presented by Lisa O'Toole, Assistant Professor of Communications at Lewis University in Romeoville.

Teen Book Club -- Tuesday, May 4th at 7pm
Teens in 6th grade and up are invited to join in the discussion of James Dashner's The Maze Runner. We are a fun group and new members are always welcome!

Teen Craft -- Thursday, April 29th from 6-8pm
Paint an egg pot (What's an egg pot? It's a small planter shaped like an egg! Trust us, it's cute!) and plant some seeds to create the beginnings of your own future garden! For teens in grades 6 & up. Space is limited & registration is required. To register, call (708) 301-7908.

KIDS

Lego Time -- Tuesday, April 27th at 4:30pm
Build your own Lego design to display in the library! All ages are welcome to participate. Legos will be provided.

Family Movie Event -- Sunday, May 2nd at 4:30pm
Celebrate our Chick It Out program with a chicken themed family movie! We'll provide the popcorn and drinks. For movie title, please call (708) 301-7908.

Bookmobile Event: Making Memories for Mother's Day
Visit the Bookmobile from April 26 - May 8 and make a special gift for your mother! Enter the Mother's Day drawing and you may even win a special gift for mom!

Chick It Out!
We are into the second week of Chick It Out! Drop by the library to take a peek at the incubated eggs, or you can view the live feed from home at our website! When do you think the eggs will hatch? Fill out a contest form at the library and you may win an egg-cellent prize. We are also running a video and photo contest, as well as a coloring contest! For more information, click here!
