Teen Advisory Board Meeting -- Thursday, July 8th at 7pmTeens in grades 9-12 are invited to attend the library's Teen Advisory Board meetings! Our next meeting is Thursday, July 8th at 7pm, and we'll be discussing the library's teen services. Members will receive volunteer hours for attending TAB meetings. New members are welcome!

The Alchemyst by Michael Scott, came from the suggestion of one of our regular members. We've already been hearing feedback at the library that this book is super awesome, so our discussion should be exciting! For teens in 6th grade and up.
KIDSBook Buddies -- Wednesday, July 7th and July 14thIf you are registered for Book Buddies, don't forget our Wednesday night meetings! Teen volunteers will act as reading buddies to young children, and after we'll make a craft! Registration required.
Reading With Rex -- Thursday, July 8th from 10:30-12pmThis literacy improvement program uses certified therapy dogs to help children gain confidence and boost their reading skills by reading out loud to a non-judmental dog. Children may sign up for a 15 minute session. Registration required. To register, please call (708) 301-7908 or visit the childrens' department. Can't make it on July 8th? Another session of Reading With Rex will be held on Thursday, July 22nd.
Monday Movie Matinee -- Monday, July 12th at 1pm
Families and kids are invited to the library's Monday Movie Matinees this summer! Buttery popcorn and drinks will be provided. Please call the library at (708) 301-7908 for movie title
Mad Hatter Party -- Tuesday, July 13th at 2pm
Don’t be late for a very important date! Jump down the rabbit hole and be prepared for a wild adventure. Tea and crumpets anyone? For kids ages 8 and up. Registration required.
Rock'n Under the Big Top -- Thursday, July 15th at 10amJoin us for musical fun as we move and groove with music, instruments, movement, and parachute activity. A small snack will be served. For kids ages 3-6. Registration required.
Rock Climbing Wall -- Friday, July 16th from 10-2pmCome in and climb the wall if you dare! Weight restrictions are from 40 to 250 lbs. Parental permission required. Permission forms are available at the library and must be filled out at the time of registration. Due to the form, registration for this program cannot be done online. To register, please visit the childrens' department.
Superhero Hype -- Saturday, July 17th from 10:30am-12pm
Come to the library dressed as your favorite super hero. Join us for an action packed hero party that will include super power snacks, a super x-ray vision game and super hero cartoon. For kids ages 7-10. Registration required.

In observance of the 4th of July, the library will be closed on Monday, July 5th. Bookmobile service will also be suspended for the day. We will reopen Tuesday morning at 8:30am.
