Used Book Sale: A Success!
We would like to extend a hearty thanks to all of those involved in making our 3rd annual Used Book Sale a success! This year's sale was the best yet -- we raised $2,100 for the library! Thank you goes out to the patrons who donated boxes and bags full of materials, teens who volunteered to organize the books and help at the sale, and the people who purchased all of those books! A special thanks also to the teens who helped create the beautiful beaded bookmarks that were sold. We look forward to next year's Used Book Sale and hope you do too!

Author Fair
The Homer Library is excited to announce that our 5th Annual Author Fair will be held at the library on Monday, September 20th from 6-8:30pm. Meet the people behind the stories! Throughout the night, local authors will give short talks discussing their books, writing methods, and/or publication process. All authors will have tables throughout the library, at which they will sell and sign their books and also answer questions from patrons. Authors of childrens, teen, and adult books will be at the Author Fair: Luisa Buehler, Fern Schumer Chapman, George Kulles, Esther Mackey, Helen Osterman, Henry Perez, Paul Scheiner, Jennie Spallone, Kristina Springer, and Lee Williams. We will be posting interviews with the authors in the weeks leading up to the event. For now, you can check out interviews with Fern Schumer Chapman, Kristina Springer, Paul Scheiner, and George Kulles. This event is a true celebration of reading and writing, so we hope to see you there!
