ADULTS & SENIORS

Adult Book Discussion -- Wednesday, November 17th at 7:30pm
Join us as we discuss North River by Pete Hamill. Books are available at the library for check out. New members are welcome!

Medicare Part D -- Friday, November 19th at 10am
An explanation of the Medicare Prescription Drug program. It covers eligibility, enrollment, the coverage gap, and tips on how to choose the right plan for you.

Chick Lit Book Discussion -- Tuesday, November 23rd at 7pm
Join us as we discuss Promises to Keep by Jane Green. Books are available at the library for check out. New members are welcome!

TEENS

Gift Bag Decorating Session -- Tuesday, November 16th from 4-8:30pm (drop-in)
Are you a teen looking for service hours? Throughout the holiday season, the library will be selling handmade decorative gift bags to our patrons. We will be holding decorating sessions where teens can help create these festive bags. No crafty or artistic ability needed! Teens do not have to stay for the entire session (if you can just do one or two hours, that's fine with us!). For teens in 6th grade and up.

Youth Activity Committee Meeting -- Wednesday, November 17th at 4:30pm
The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a fun group that undertakes projects and volunteers for community events. New members are always welcome. Get into the DIY spirit! Participants will view examples of zines (self-published mini magazines), learn how to create their own zine, and contribute to a zine we'll make at the workshop. For teens in grades 5-8.

Teen Manga Group -- Thursday, November 18th at 7pm
Join us for our monthly celebration of all things manga and anime! Each meeting is different (sometimes we'll watch anime, play a manga-related game, recommend our favorite manga series, have a cosplay party, etc.) but it's always FUN! For teens in 6th grade and up.

KIDS

Thanksgiving Craft -- Tuesday, November 16th at 4:30pm
Celebrate the Thanksgiving season by making a Cornucopia Door Sign. There is a $3.00 fee for this craft. To secure your on-line registration, fee must be paid within three days at the library.

Kids Movie -- Monday, November 22nd at 1pm
School's out for Thanksgiving that week, so why not spend some time enjoying a movie and popcorn at the library? Please call (708) 301-7908 for the movie title (rated PG) and length.

Bingo Blast -- Tuesday, November 24th at 10am (ages 4-6) & 11am (grade 2-5)
Join us for bingo and light refreshments! From 10-10:45am, we'll have bingo for children ages 4-6. From 11-11:45am, we'll have bingo for children in grades 2-5.

Bookmobile Event: Thanksgiving Abacus
Start a new tradition! From November 18 - 23, come on board the bookmobile and make a Thanksgiving abacus to count your blessings on turkey day!

Library Closed
In observance of Thanksgiving, the library will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 24th and then be closed all day on Thursday, November 25th. We will reopen Friday, November 26th at 8:30am. Have a yummy Thanksgiving!

Teen Zine Collection
Have you seen our new Teen Zine Collection? We now have zines (self-published mini magazines) and mini-comics at the library! There are zines about all kinds of topics: personal zines, how-to zines, travel zines, and several comic zines. Patrons are encouraged to enjoy the zines while in the library, so please visit the Teen Space to have a look at them!
