ADULTS & SENIORS

Prairiesmoke Writers Group -- Wednesday, March 9th at 7pm
Stop by the monthly meeting of the library's writers group! You're invited to discuss your work with other writers and have fun with some group writing assignments. New members are welcome! Writers of all levels are encouraged to attend. Registration is not required.

Armchair Travelers: Tale of Two Cities -- Friday, March 11th at 1:30pm
Bill Helmuth takes you via Amtrak train to San Francisco and New Orleans. Live and breathe their intoxicating cultures that define their often tormented histories. A light refreshment will be served.

Mystery Book Discussion -- Monday, March 14th at 7pm
Everyone is welcome to join us for a lively, variety of mystery book selections! This month we'll be discussing Trail of Blood by Lisa Black. If you read it, we'd love to hear what you thought! Books are available at the library for check out.

ESL Class -- Wednesday, March 16th at 6:30pm
ESL Classes for Adult Language Learners offered free of charge. Workbook will be provided. Registration is required. 2011 adult literacy programs are made possible by a grant from the American Library Association and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

Adult Book Discussion -- Wednesday, March 16th at 7:30pm
The March selection of the Adult Book Discussion Group is The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent. New members are welcome! Books are available at the library for check out.

TEENS

Teen Advisory Board Meeting -- Thursday, March 10th at 7pm
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a library group for high school students. Member have an opportunity to influence the library's teen services. Meetings include discussion of books, programs, and other library topics.

Teen Manga Group -- Thursday, March 17th at 7pm
Do you love manga & anime? If so, you should join the library's Teen Manga Group! This month we'll be watching anime sent to us by Operation Anime. For teens in 6th grade & up.

KIDS

Culture Club: New York -- Saturday, March 12th from 10am - noon
"The Big Apple" adventures await you! Visit the vibrant state of New York and tour the Statue of Liberty. Take part in a Broadway production. Grades 3 and up. Registration required.

Family Movie -- Sunday, March 13th at 4:30pm
Gather up the family and head down to the library for Family Movie Night! We'll provide the popcorn and drinks. Please call (708) 301-7908 for movie title and length.

St. Patrick's Day Craft -- Tuesday, March 15th at 4:30pm
Celebrate the wearin' of the green with a cute St. Pat's Day craft. There is a $2.00 fee for this program. Payment may be made in person at the library within 5 days of registration. Payment may also be made on E-Pay. This method of payment is located on the left hand side of the library webpage.

Bookmobile Event: Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Visit the Bookmobile between March 14 -- April 23 to guess how many gold coins are on the Bookmobile for a chance to win a surprise gift! You can find the Bookmobile by clicking here to check the schedule.

igeekgames -- Saturday March 19th from 11am-1pm
It's game time! Join us on Saturday, March 19th from 11am-1pm for an afternoon full of games! From 11am-noon, gather your team for the 6o Second Showdown! All ages welcome, with games based off the tv series Minute To Win It. Teams must register at the library by Thursday, March 17th. From noon-1pm, kids can spin the krazy wheel, play the bucket toss, and take part in other childrens games! Popcorn and drinks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you!
